A cut Brazilian smokey quartz with a phantom — a ghost crystal visible inside the main stone, a world within a world, formed over millions of years and discovered only when the light hits it right. But the stone is only part of the story.

The Murano glass beads and garnet beads came from a necklace given to me by an older woman. The silk had finally torn — years of wearing had done what time eventually does to everything. She handed it to me and said: keep them. Turn them into something else for someone else. I have thought about that exchange many times since. The generosity of it. The trust. The idea that beautiful things deserve to keep traveling, keep finding new people to belong to.

They waited until this piece was ready for them. Now they're traveling again.
