This piece took over a year to become itself.

It began as a ring. And it was simply not right as a ring — something about it refused to settle, refused to be finished, refused to be that. So it waited. I tried different directions, different metallic tones, different possibilities. Nothing quite answered until the day it finally did — and what had been uncertain for over a year became completely, suddenly obvious.

Some pieces know what they are before you do. This was one of those.

The amethyst cluster is a natural triangle — that particular form that carries weight beyond geometry. Triangles appear in sacred architecture, in ancient symbolism, in the mathematics of the natural world. This one grew that way, without any human intention, out of the earth. Deep indigo-purple, almost violet-black in low light, its crystal points catching the gold of the sculpted setting like stars against a night sky.

The setting itself is textured and layered — worked and reworked until it found the right relationship with the stone. Gold metallic, warm, alive, with the particular quality that only comes from a decision made and remade until it was exactly correct.

The chain is vintage bronze — substantial, honest, untreated. It will develop a natural patina over time, deepening and warming with every wear. This is not aging. This is the piece becoming more itself, and more yours.
