Amethyst in Fine Silver #41
Not everything needs to be gold.
I have made many pieces in warm tones — bronze, brass, copper, gold leaf. And I love them all. But there came a point where I needed cool. Where I needed the particular stillness that only silver brings — that lunar, almost-meditative quality that gold simply cannot do.
This piece was my answer.
A raw amethyst cluster — medium violet, its crystal points close and dense — set in a hand-sculpted body covered in fine silver paint. The result is something that feels both ancient and completely modern. A stone that has been held by silver the way moonlight holds a landscape — coolly, completely, without drama.
What I love about the way this piece sits is its relationship with the body. It lies flat against the skin rather than projecting outward — worn close, intimate, present. Not a piece that announces itself from across the room. A piece that rewards the people who get close enough to see it properly.
It hangs on a delicate vintage steel curb chain — fine enough to disappear against the neck, strong enough to carry the piece beautifully. The chain can easily be shortened to sit higher if preferred, making it as versatile as it is wearable. It is, specifically, a piece for delicate necks — for the woman who loves this world of stones and wearable art but wants something that moves with her rather than ahead of her.
Amethyst works with the crown and third eye chakras — intuition, inner clarity, calm. In silver, that energy feels quieter, more internal. This is a piece for the woman who carries her power inward.
